I think I remember hearing the guide mention that, other than the Auchmar Estate, there is only one other historical location in Ontario with a walled garden.

The interior space was temporarily converted into a gallery displaying industrial art. It was pretty cool.

Doors Open Hamilton

This past weekend was "Doors Open Hamilton". Over 50 buildings of historical and/or architectural importance were open to the public. I only managed to see two of the buildings (both of them normally closed to the public), the Auchmar Estate and the old Camco powerplant. Both buildings were beautiful in their own way...
