This was taken hand held in semi low light, so I wasn't able to get as much depth of field as I would have liked... nonetheless, I think it gives a pretty good impression of my wife's untapped talent for floral arrangements.

I'll Preen Your Feathers If You Preen Mine

2 seconds after taking this photo the Macaw on the right jumped from it's perch onto the cage front I was leaning against. I guess it wanted to get a close look at me. Maybe a taste too since I've learned by experience that birds like to investigate things (cameras, fingers, noses) with their beaks and tongues. I stepped back immediately.

Michelle and I went to the Hamilton Aviary yesterday. This guy was particularly photogenic. I think he would have liked to have taken a little nibble of my lense if I let him.
